Digital Reading Room for SEL
The Digital Reading Room serves as material for my Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) teaching, and 'Have You Filled a Bucket Today' is a book I read aloud to students during our read-aloud sessions. As a result, this digital reading room will feature a wealth of content related to this theme. Additionally, it will include a diverse range of materials, such as books, videos, documents, and more, all centered around SEL. This digital reading room incorporates various text types and supports, including YouTube, Epic, websites, games, and other resources.
This letter is an introduction to the upcoming thematic unit, a read-aloud lesson focusing on social-emotional learning. The primary book for the class is "Have You Filled a Bucket Today?"
Given the multilingual nature of our class, the letter has been crafted in three languages: English, Chinese, and Spanish.
Sharing SEL materials with families contributes to building a sense of community within the class. It establishes a partnership between educators and parents to support the overall well-being and development of the child.
